Bakrid is one of the important festivals for Muslims. It is also known as Eid-ul-adha means feast of sacrifice. Every year according to lunar Islamic calendar it comes on the 10th day of Dhu al hijjah and lasts for four days. There is a long story behind this festival. The festive day marks the completion of the annual pilgrimage from Hajji to Mecca. Bakrid is mainly celebrated with a reason is that Abraham’s willingness to offer his only son as a sacrifice on gods command. So on that particular day (Bakra Eid) goats are sacrificed as in the name of god. Bakrid is will be going where happily among the Muslims. Men and women dress up in new clothes and go to Masjid. They will do the pray known as NAMAZ and ask Dua for the peace and prosperity of all the people and give special Bakrid messages. After that each and every one will share their warmth and say Eid Mubarak. Later they will come to home and start giving qurbani to the goats. That meat will be given to the poor people. Next will be the important thing that is cooking the delicious dishes and served to family and friends.
